The new Alberta Perennial Trials 2007-2009 brochures are almost ready! They should be back from the printer by the first week of April, just in time for the Calgary Horticultural Society’s Garden Show! The brochures will be available at the Calgary Zoo booth at the Garden Show for $5 each. They will be available after the show at the North Star Gift Shop at the Calgary Zoo, or you can order them from this site (click on Brochures above).
Don’t miss the Calgary Horticultural Society’s Garden Show! It’s a great way to kick off the gardening season in Calgary.
Where: Spruce Meadows
Dates: April 10 & 11, 2010
Time: 9:00am to 6:00pm each day
Admission: $12 at the door, $10 pre-sale at the Society
office or at greengate Garden Centre
I will be at the Calgary Zoo’s booth for part of the weekend; and there will always be someone there who can answer any questions about the perennial trials. I will also be at the ‘Ask the Expert’ table from 2:00-4:00 on Sunday to answer any questions people may have about gardening. Come by and say hi!

Thank you for visiting and leaving your nice comment! I’m really intrigued by your trials and look forward to reading the results. I’m well acquainted with many of the plants in your trial lists and interested in how they fare in your climate, which is rather different from mine. (I’ve never been to Calgary yet, but hopefully one of these days–been to Edmonton and LOVED it).

Thanks, Jodi!
The trial results from 1999-2007 are posted on Alberta Agricultures’s website. If you click on Trial Results at the top of this page there is a link to the site. The results from 2008 and 2009 are not posted online at this time.
If you ever come to Calgary, let me know. I would love to give you a tour of the gardens at the zoo!
